Quality Management System

Embedded into USS-LMT’s core foundation is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System (QMS) and continuous improvement culture. Ownership and responsibility for product quality is at the heart of every employee’s thought process. Designed to be integrated into all areas of management and production processes, our QMS is a paperless system built into our MRP system for instant, point-of-use access. From policy manuals to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and standards, all are available throughout the facility. Beginning with new projects, USS-LMT practices Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and New Product Introduction (NPI) to assure total quality management and customer satisfaction. USS-LMT strives to continually improve our products and processes from design to delivery. Statistical Process Controls and metrics are utilized continuously to drive product and process improvements.

Testing & Inspection

Our Quality department provides the audit function through continuous surveillance and monitoring to ensure that inputs and manufacturing processes are properly controlled. Our full-time quality personnel also use First Article Inspections, In-Process Inspections with Statistical Process Control analysis and Lot Acceptance via ANSI Z1.4 sampling standards to verify that customer products are 100% conforming before delivery. We also utilize a wide variety of inspection tools such as Coordinate Measuring Machines, Romer Arms, Air Gaging and custom designed fit-check gages to efficiently monitor product quality.
